In October 1914 Mr Alfred H.K.
Squire established an auxiliary home hospital in his home, Whitegarth.
The Hospital had 14 beds and Mrs Squire, together with other
ladies in the area, provided care for the wounded and sick servicemen.
The Hospital closed in 1915. Present status (November 2010) The site is of the Hospital is now occupied by Caygill Close. |
